Integration gives commercial real estate professionalsaccess to the Detailed visual information inside a mapping application
Rochester, NY, — July 08, 2009 — Pictometry International Corp. announced its Pictometry Navigator API (Application Programming Interface) is now integrated into Site To Do Business ( www.stdbonline.com), an online suite of analytical and mapping resources used by members of the CCIM Institute, a leading commercial real estate association and the largest broker network in the world.
“By integrating Pictometry imagery into our existing ESRI mapping application we will enhance the level of visual information we provide to our subscribers,” said Jay R. Lucas, CCIM, President and CEO of CCIM’s STDBonline. “The ability to search for properties within a mapping application is essential for commercial real estate professionals. With this integration they will be able to find the location they are looking for on a map then have that location and its surrounding area come to life from multiple views with Pictometry’s 3Dlike oblique and orthogonal images.”
STDBonline is the cost effective, go-to resource for commercial real estate professionals who need access to detailed property information for listing packages, reports and presentations. The site includes topographical data for virtually any location across the country, flood maps, business listings, employment data, economic growth trends and more and is utilized by more than 23,000 subscribers nationally.
“Pictometry is a powerful tool for the real estate community and other industries too,” said ESRI’s Simon Thompson, director of commercial business solutions. “Site To Do Business has shown how easy it is to integrate intuitive visualization such as Pictometry with analytics and customer-centric workflow. This delivers even greater value to our common users and I expect new opportunities to arise as a result of this integration.”
Pictometry Navigator API enables businesses to integrate Pictometry imagery into existing browser-based applications. With Navigator API users can instantly locate images using geographic coordinates or street address searches and view images from multiple angles. The application also enables users to overlay GIS information directly on imagery and annotate on imagery using Pictometry’s assortment of other annotation tools. Site To Do Business will be utilizing Pictometry’s extensive oblique and orthogonal national image library with image extraction and printing capabilities.
“The leadership of the CCIM Institute recognizes the need to provide our members with the tools they can put to use to stay competitive and succeed during these challenging times we face today,” said Charles “Mac” McClure, CCIM, 2009 CCIM Institute President. “The Pictometry Navigator API is a valuable new analytical resource that CCIM Institute members can employ immediately for a wide range of projects when creating reports through the Site to Do Business. We’re confident this tool will help members bolster their bottom line because it’s the premiere product on the market.”
