ESI Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against Korean Laser Tool Manufacturer EO Technics

PORTLAND, Ore. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — May 14, 2014Electro Scientific Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: ESIO), a leading supplier of innovative laser-based manufacturing solutions for the microtechnology industry, today announced the filing of a patent infringement suit against EO Technics Co. Grady, CEO of ESI. “We have a duty to our shareholders to defend the intellectual property developed through our substantial R&D investments.”
