RAND North America Relaunches as Inceptra; Expands Operations

New Name Reflects Company’s Full Service Offering

Built Upon Dassault Systèmes PLM Solutions

WESTON, Fla., USA and VELIZY-VILLACOUBLAY, France – October 1, 2010 – RAND North America (RAND NA) today announced the rebranding and relaunching of the company as Inceptra.  The new name follows the expansion earlier this year of Rand NA’s consulting services and new support services and Technology Center, and reflects its development into a full-service, international Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions provider.  The new identity also follows the acquisition of the remaining shares of RAND North America (now Inceptra) from its former minority shareholder, RAND Worldwide, and discontinuation of the licensing of the “RAND” name.

Inceptra is a leading provider of best-in-class PLM technology and services to engineering and manufacturing businesses across a variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive, industrial equipment, consumer goods, high tech, life sciences and civil engineering.  Dedicated exclusively to the Dassault Systèmes PLM portfolio and complementary best-in-class solutions, Inceptra helps its customers capitalize on their PLM software investment with enhanced product innovation, collaboration and productivity by delivering extensive solution and process expertise through its internally developed best practices, automation techniques and industry-specific PLM services, as well as training and support.

“Our expanded world-class consulting team with extensive software, IT and industry knowledge supports our customers with unparalleled expertise on the DS solution-set and increases the value we bring as their PLM partner,” said Jim Ryan, president and CEO, Inceptra.  “It is through our customer-focused approach that we’ve become a leading provider of Dassault Systèmes products and solutions.  As we continue to expand and grow our international presence, the new brand more appropriately reflects our market profile geographically and it also aligns our corporate image with the enhanced collective value and sustainable product innovation capability we bring to our customers.”

“The enterprises served by our best-in-class channel partners can, with their help, achieve significant return on their investment in DS PLM solutions, and we are committed to provide strong support of our indirect channel to deliver that value to our mutual customers.  We welcome Inceptra as the new company name of Rand NA to enter their next stage of growth with V6. Inceptra will continue to operate as an independent, international DS Value Added Reseller (VAR), selling, implementing and supporting Dassault Systèmes PLM solutions.” said Etienne Droit, executive vice president, PLM Sales and Distribution, Dassault Systèmes.

In addition to today’s name change, Inceptra also announced its new PLM solution offering PowerUP, a cost effective discovery package built on the DS V6 platform and a proven rapid deployment and implementation methodology.  PowerUP is designed to allow companies to experience the paradigm shift that is PLM 2.0, or “PLM Online for All”, with Dassault Systèmes’ next generation V6 PLM solutions in context of their own environment, whether as a new deployment or an addition to a V5 environment.  With this unique Inceptra offering, companies can learn about the new V6 collaborative platform and discover how it can help them further enhance their product lifecycle processes to more efficiently enable the turning of concepts and ideas into the right product innovations.  Details on PowerUP can be found at www.inceptra.com/powerup and in a press release issued by the company today.

The launch of the Inceptra brand includes a new logo, marketing communications and a refreshed corporate website, http://www.inceptra.com.  One of the company’s objectives is for the new brand to become synonymous with its delivery of the power of PLM.  Ryan stated, "From product conceptualization through development, to maintenance and enhancements, we provide our customers with the continuous and scalable innovation capability to bring the right products to market faster, transforming and optimizing product lifecycle processes to realize both top line growth and bottom line results.  We are an intensely passionate group, dedicated to maximizing customer value through a responsive and flexible approach, adapting our PLM solutions to meet each of our customers’ unique needs.”  The company remains headquartered in Weston, Florida with sales offices and employees throughout North America.
