Company Cites Growing Acceptance of Manufacturing Process Management Strategies as Key to Its Success
HERZLIA, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 17, 2003-- Tecnomatix Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: TCNO), the driving force in Manufacturing Process Management (MPM), announced today that it has once again been named a Top 100 software company by MSI Magazine, a major monthly magazine that focuses on information technology within the manufacturing and supply chain industries. The MSI "Top 100" listing is based on a survey the magazine conducted of leading manufacturing software vendors and their revenue results for the 2002 calendar year.
Ranking number 45 out of 100 top vendors, Tecnomatix was
recognized in the July issue of MSI Magazine as a successful company
based on its strategic shift into collaborative, enterprise-wide MPM
solutions. Last year's Top 100 also listed Tecnomatix at number 45,
moving up from number 50 the previous year. According to MSI,
"Tecnomatix Technologies is on something of a roll. The 20-year-old
company has blue chip customers at some of the world's largest and
best-known manufacturers, including Ford, Honda, Siemens, Boeing,
Nokia, Caterpillar, and Pratt & Whitney. All use Tecnomatix'
high-powered manufacturing process management software."
"Our continuing recognition as a Top 100 player by MSI reaffirms
the strategic direction we embarked on in 2000," said Harel Beit-On,
chief executive officer and chairman of Tecnomatix Technologies Ltd.
"Manufacturing Process Management solutions that encompass the
broader, enterprise-wide realm of a company's manufacturing
operations--internally and throughout the supply chain--have taken
root among the world's leading manufacturers in the automotive,
aerospace, electronics, and other industries. The growing acceptance
of MPM, and of the critical role it plays in the overall Product
Lifecycle Management environment, is reflected in our strong position
within the MSI rankings."
MSI's 11th annual top 100 listing of enterprise, supply chain,
product life-cycle and plant operations software vendors is based on
vendor responses to a survey conducted by the publication, combined
with other factors. Among the trends noticed by MSI during its latest
research were the rise of the PLM market, the continuing evolution of
large plant automation vendors into providers of broader arrays of
plant management applications and services, and the delivery of
focused analytical applications from business intelligence software
vendors.
MSI, published monthly by Reed Business Information Systems,
addresses how the information technology industry improves
productivity in manufacturing and the supply chain. In addition to its
print publication, the Top 100 List can be seen at
