Toronto, May 2, 2007 – Optech Incorporated has appointed Brent W. Gelhar as the Vice President of Sales & Product Strategy. This is a new executive position on Optech’s senior management team, which will address Optech’s growing presence as a mainstream lidar product manufacturer, expanding its historical focus on specialty systems integration. In his previous roles at Optech over the past five years, Mr.Gelhar has headed up the ILRIS-3D product line and the Laser Imaging Division, and further developed additional variants of the ILRIS into a complete platform of 3D imaging technologies. In 2006, he took over additional responsibility as Director of Optech’s Terrestrial Survey Division, the largest division within Optech, responsible for manufacturing, supporting and marketing the successful ALTM (Airborne Laser Terrain Mapper) line.
