January 26, 2007 -- Getmapping, the UK’s leading aerial photography company has signed a contract to supply aerial photography to FOCUS, the UK’s number one provider of commercial property information.

Using Getmapping’s data, Focus, part of the American CoStar Group will drive their 14 environmentally friendly Toyota Prius cars across the country collecting information on commercial properties.

The use of Getmapping’s aerial photography will ensure FOCUS’s team of drivers will be able to easily and accurately locate every commercial building in the UK. The primary objective of FOCUS is to collect data on all commercial property in England and Wales so its customers can access information relevant to buying, selling or renting property.

Clients will be able to see an aerial and frontal photograph of the office, shop or warehouse, then access information such as descriptions, availability, previous deals, ownership, internal and external measurements, rates and occupiers.

Jonathan Bray, managing director of FOCUS said: “Our aim is to extend our current lead by creating a site that has such a depth of relevant data that it makes it the ‘must go to’ UK commercial property website. If somebody wants to know about any property, rather than driving out to it what we are saying is look at our database.
