Laser-Scan Strengthens Senior Management Team

Cambridge UK, 4th July 2006 - Following the public announcement last week at the Laser-Scan User and Partner Conference 2006, Laser-Scan is pleased to announce that Graham Stickler has joined the Company as Product and Marketing Director.

In this role Graham will have overall responsibility for Laser-Scan’s Product Strategy. He will directly manage the Product Management and Marketing teams responsible for product roadmaps, product marketing, and product functionality and will ensure Laser-Scan’s products meet the business requirements and deliver value to Laser-Scan's customers. Graham replaces Steven Ramage who will now move into the Business Development Director role.

Graham has over 20 years experience in the geospatial industry. His career began in the early 1980s as a Research Hydrologist involved in Catchment Modeling and Remote Sensing. He went on to work in the UK Water Industry as a consultant in Digital Mapping and GIS and then joined ESRI in the late 1980’s. At ESRI Graham was involved in particular in the data model extensions for Dynamic Segmentation and regions and worked on the integration of spatial data with Management Information Systems. Graham then joined Unisys as Business Development Manager for EMEA where he again was involved in the integration of spatial data into enterprise-wide systems. In 1995 Graham joined Exor Corporation where he was initially responsible for their Spatial Strategy and Business Development. Graham moved on to become Product Director, steering product direction through market input and customer demand for all Exor Products in the Highways and Utilities arena and worked closely with Oracle on the design of linear referencing into Oracle Spatial at Oracle9i and more recently on the integration of Exor systems with the Oracle e-Business Suite.

In 2001 Laser-Scan started the Radius Programme to open up their technology to make it more widely available in commercial enterprise software environments. The Radius Suite is a family of Laser-Scan’s smart products initially made available to take advantage of a robust, secure and scalable Oracle infrastructure. The software code is not new, but proven within the core proprietary technology that has been made available in a mainstream IT environment. The Radius suite has grown extensively since the initial release of Radius Topology in 2001 to include mobile and spatial data quality certification solutions. Graham and his team will manage a growing number of products in this area.

Mike Sanderson, CEO, Laser-Scan said:

"We have been winning increasingly more business around maximising organisations’ investments in spatial data by making it fit for electronic delivery across the web. The result has been greater demands on Laser-Scan resources and increased demands for our products and solutions

As such, I am delighted that we have been able to attract such a high profile figure as Graham to help manage our continued growth. It is a testament to our market position that Graham has chosen to develop his career at Laser-Scan; he will help us deliver a strong product message consistent with the Radius brand we have built to date."
