Lehigh Valley Plastics Employs Synergis Training For Transition To Autodesk Inventor

QUAKERTOWN, Pa., Feb. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Synergis(R) Technologies Engineering Design Solutions Division announced today that Allentown, Pennsylvania-based Lehigh Valley Plastics, Inc. ( http://www.lehighvalleyplastics.com), has turned to Synergis Engineering Design Solutions for the training they require to get up to speed on new releases of their Autodesk software and make a smooth transition from AutoCAD and Autodesk Mechanical Desktop (MDT) to Autodesk Inventor.

Customers often walk into Lehigh Valley Plastics, a state-of-the-art manufacturer and supplier of plastic materials noted for its highly trained staff that design, engineer and produce custom products, with a concept in mind and task them with translating it into something tangible. Lehigh Valley Plastics' engineers use Autodesk's design software to bring that concept to reality and match their customers' vision.

"This isn't always an easy task. However, whether it is a complicated injection molded part used in the medical field or a simple clear plastic box for someone's collectibles, Autodesk's software along with Synergis' backing consistently helps Lehigh Valley Plastics function more efficiently every day," said Christian Steckel, Engineering Dept. Manager, Lehigh Valley Plastics, Inc.

Synergis Engineering Design Solutions hosts learning events throughout the year to help companies better understand how to maximize their Autodesk investment through education and customized programs. The company boasts a pedigreed group of manufacturing design applications engineers, all who are Autodesk Inventor Certified Experts. Training classes are purposely small with a maximum of eight students enrolled for each hands-on course to ensure all students receive personal attention.

"I have used AutoCAD-based products for the past 13 years and have always had a bit of a problem navigating from one platform to another, such as from basic AutoCAD to MDT and then to Inventor," said Steckel. "Luckily for people like me, Synergis offers continuous, ongoing education on all Autodesk software. They make it easy to learn both new releases and completely new software platforms. I've attended four or five different sessions at the Quakertown facility and always walked away saying 'So that's how you do that!' The training I received has helped me get up and running with new software much faster than if I would have tried to figure it out on my own."

"Small to medium-sized companies often attempt to navigate through these complex and feature-rich software packages on their own because they believe they don't have time to invest in training. That, however, is a terrible misconception. Even a small amount of training can save these companies lost time, resources, and frustration. Training helps them become very productive in a short amount of time and gives them the opportunity to take advantage of all the technology offers them," said Jim Swain, Synergis Design Applications Engineer and Autodesk Inventor Certified Expert. "I've had the pleasure of training Lehigh Valley Plastics' engineers and witnessing their increasing proficiency on the software. They are a company who does what it takes to stay on top of the technology and surely, that translates into significant benefits for their customers."
