Ferndale, Michigan, Sep 1, 2016 – Unison Corporation will be demonstrating one of its new Model 9000 Series 8-Axis CNC Tool and Cutter Grinders at IMTS in their Booth N6648. The Model 9000 Series of Grinders feature a powerful 27 horsepower (20kw) direct drive grinding spindle which can manufacture ultra-precise medical/dental tools as well as industrial drills, endmills, reamers, etc. These Grinders are equipped with Yaskawa AC Drive Amplifiers as well as an Automatic Pick-nPlace Parts Loader/Unloader for continuous grinding of parts. The 9000 Series uses a precise probe assembly to guarantee repeatability of parts and can be equipped with an on-board electric wheel dressing system.
The Model 9000 Series features Unison's new EZ Software allowing the machine's operator to quickly customize and/or modify tool geometry with a user friendly interface by merely "filling in blanks" and then verifying the part program by using the machine's real-time 3D Parts Predictor. Each machine is supplied with a complete software package and library of tool programs at no additional charge. The Computer Control monitors critical machine functions and alerts the operator to issues encountered during grinding as well as machine errors are tracked and logged within the Control to help identify problems. The 9000 Series can be networked and/or monitored via the internet and can be equipped with a Remote Connect feature allowing direct communication with Unison.
