Oxford, England. February 17 2016 -- In order to help the PLM industry move forward, there needs to be a widely-agreed definition of what is 'Advanced PLM'. Experienced practitioners have a general idea in their minds of what it means, but if a clear definition can be established then we can aim for it; learn from it; and extend its horizons.

There is now a well-defined PLM Delivery process that enables users and vendors to generate agreed metrics for every aspect of PLM. It is now possible to show exactly how advanced an implementation is, using a wide range of indicators that were not available before.

The PI Munich 2016 Event will have the greatest concentration of presentations from implementations that are tacitly accepted to be among the best in Europe. As delegates watch the presentations they may wonder how their own implementations compare. The PLMIG will be at the event with the PLM Delivery methodology to help delegates find out.
