PLM-IRF announces Nathan Hartman to Keynote with Erastos Filos at the Brussels Launch, 27-28 January

Oxford, England. December 18, 2014 -- The PLM International Research Foundation announces that Nathan Hartman, Director of the Purdue University PLM Center of Excellence in Indiana, USA will deliver one of the Keynote presentations at the Launch Meeting in Brussels on 27-28 January.
 
He will join Erastos Filos, Head of Sector 'Intelligent Manufacturing Systems', DG Research and Innovation at the European commission. Together their two presentations will give a transatlantic overview of the current research scenario for PLM, and will set the scene for the new global PLM research environment proposed by the PLM-IRF.
 
More than 50 organisations worldwide have been involved in the initiative so far in the preparatory phase. The meeting in Brussels is a platform for users, vendors and researchers to discuss the aims, the practicalities, and the structure of international PLM collaboration.
 
This is an international meeting. It is open to participants from any type of organisation and from any country. The only requirement is an interest in shaping the future PLM of 10 years' time.

The PLM International Research Foundation is an initiative that is currently being led by the PLM Interest Group, the PLM Institute and IFIP WG5.1. The aim is to establish a completely independent, non-commercial body that will support global research into the most advanced elements of PLM for the future benefit of industry around the world.
