Canon Inc. is Developing a Color Display for Mammography

MELVILLE, N.Y. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — December 1, 2014 — Canon U.S.A. Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, announced today that it will showcase a work-in-progress color display 1, for mammography images that is being developed by its parent, Canon Inc., during the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting on November 30 to December 4, 2014 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Canon Inc. intends to file a 510(k) application with the Food and Drug Administration with regard to the display, but no assurances can be given that it will do so or that the display will be made available for sale in the United States. It is currently contemplated that the display will be a 30-inch, 10-megapixel (4,096 x 2,560 pixel) color display for mammography. The display is subject to change.
