Javelin’s Scheduling Attracts At Southern

February 26 2014 -- The UK’s Southern Manufacturing exhibition proved to be a major source of potential new business for the Javelin advanced production planning and control system.

General Manager Paul Holmes says they doubled the number of high quality leads gained at their stand, compared to previous years, with Javelin’s powerful scheduling functionality attracting particular interest.   “The number of visitors to the stand was significantly higher than in recent shows, along with more in depth questions being asked of our consultants. We’ve have already received a number of follow up enquires and are confident of more to come,” he says. “They stated a definite intention to seriously look at Javelin, after seeing demonstrations on the stand of what it can do for their business.”

Javelin, from Vero Software, is a flexible, scalable and intelligent system increasing a company’s competitiveness by reducing costs and improving quality, while maximising on-time delivery performance.

The Number One topic of interest on the stand was Javelin’s ‘what if’ finite and infinite integral scheduling capability. The same workload can be tested using various scenarios and manufacturing rules, and the results compared either graphically or tabular. “Based on the individual user’s definition of their own manufacturing facilities – the factory model – the system provides the key to minimising Work-In-Progress.”

Production bottlenecks can be easily identified when capacity limits are reached, as defined within the factory model. Where practical, alternative routes and processes can be selected to help maximise on time delivery to customers.

Part of the Vero Software Group, Javelin's advanced functionality provides its customers with greater reliability and flexibility. Improving these attributes in any company helps increase profitability. Vero has direct offices in the UK, Italy, France, Japan, USA, Brazil, Netherlands and China, while supplying products to more than 45 countries through its wholly owned subsidiaries and reseller network.
