October 08, 2012 - ASCON today announced its official partnership with the KAMAZ Master sport truck rally team. The agreement of cooperation was signed between Maxim Bogdanov, CEO of ASCON Group, and Vladimir Chagin, manager of KAMAZ Motorsports. Mr Chagin is already legendary as the head of KAMAZ Master, the seven-time winner in the truck class of the Dakar marathon road rally.

The ASCON logo will be placed on all of KAMAZ Master's sport trucks and technical support vehicles. ASCON will take part in all events at which the award-winning Russian rally team takes part. KAMAZ Master representatives will be guests of the most ASCON events. The agreement runs for one year, until October 2013.



KAMAZ Master the only one among the elite of international rally teams that develops, designs, and assembles their own racing trucks. As part of the sponsorship deal, ASCON is providing KAMAZ Master's design office with professional software for doing 3D design work. KOMPAS-3D V13 will help the team's engineers improve the design of their sports trucks.


"A small team in our design department faced diverse goals: to analyze the problems that arise in different automotive systems, to find new solutions or to optimize existing structures, to implement the ideas through drawings, and finally test them in the real product," explains Sergy Bockharev, design engineer of the KAMAZ Master sport team. “Sometimes, due to time constraints, we limited ourselves to making only sketches. This lead to difficulties when reproducing parts and assemblies for the next set of products. To solve this problem, we are now using KOMPAS-3D from ASCON. We have found it to be an easy-to-learn solution, suitable for drawings of 3D models, because it has all the file format converters we find necessary, amd a large number of templates and libraries of standard parts and materials -- all of which help us in our work. KOMPAS-3D is actively used by us; for example, we've already received machined parts made with CNC machines designed in KOMPAS-3D. So, this program is really helping us create a better sport trucks."
