County of Ventura Standardizes Construction Information Management with e-Builder Software

Ft. Lauderdale, FL – March 27th, 2012 - e-Builder, the pioneer of web-based construction program management software, announced today that the County of Ventura,  California, has selected e-Builder Enterprise to more efficiently manage their construction program information, communications, and executive reporting.   Initially, the County’s Engineering Services Department will leverage e-Builder’s Cost, Processes, Scheduling, Reporting, and Documents modules for their vertical construction projects (fire stations, hospitals).   Following the initial implementation, other departments, including Water and Sanitation, Transportation and Watershed Protection, will leverage the software later in 2012.

The primary goal for County of Ventura County is standardizing all construction program management, cost tracking and reporting.  The Engineering Services team is currently managing 27 projects in all phases from planning through construction, including a $200 million hospital replacement project.  They realized the benefits of consolidating the vast amount of information generated by these projects with e-Builder, and using integrated reporting capabilities to aggregate data into a broad range of project reports and executive dashboards.  Automatically distributed to County’s management teams, these reports will provide a single-point of visibility into the overall status of the County’s projects.  Management teams will then easily track availability of funds, potential cost exposures, cashflow requirements, and accurate forecasts of projected cost to complete.
