See How Edgecam is Improving Machining Productivity at WESTEC 2012

March 13, 1012 - Edgecam, a leading CAD/CAM solutions provider, is demonstrating the benefits that it brings to the production engineering industry at WESTEC 2012, taking place March 27 – 29, 2012, at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Los Angeles California.

Visitors to booth #3024 will have the opportunity to see firsthand, Edgecam’s most recent enhancement, Waveform Roughing.  Waveform is a new improved roughing strategy that ensures a constant tool load, a smooth toolpath pattern, and offers faster material removal, while improving machine and tool life.  Best of all, Waveform comes standard in the latest Edgecam release, 2012 R1.

Edgecam supports everything from 2x milling and turning to complex 3x - 5x machining along with multi axis (single set up) mill and turn/mill machines. Edgecam reads native design files from all major CAD vendors and retains original design intent through Automatic Feature Recognition (AFR).

The associative link between Edgecam's Solid Machinist and the original CAD model ensures that even late design changes won’t affect lead times. Machinable features are captured and optimized with Strategy Manager, allowing users to automate part programming based on best practices and methodology.

Edgecam’s latest release, 2012 R1, combines new strategies with an improved user interface across many aspects of the software. The strategies will make creating tool paths effortless and the improvements to the user interface will get you results much faster than before.  The latest features and enhancements in Edgecam will ensure that customers continue to reduce manufacturing costs, maintain consistent quality and work as efficiently as possible. Companies looking to optimize efficiency and reduce costs will find that Edgecam delivers leading CAD/CAM performance and functionality, and will enable them to get the most from their machine tools and remain competitive - crucial in the current business climate.
