Can anybody answer this question?

We are transfering product data archive from one of our merged entity. Pro/E mech engineers used to upload the assembly file and constituents of assembly as individual files in a web based application. Exact revsion control of the files are maintained in a separate text file for assembly and child parts. Whenever assembly file has to be modified because of an engg change, they would download the file from web as one zip file. Unzip the assembly file to a directory in PC. Then an application called MCAD FM was use to regenerate the assembly again so that all parent-child linkages are established.
MCAD FM [ FM-File Manager] seems to be a custom application. Is there any application in the market which is off the shelf.

Appreciate if somebody could help us out as this has become a burning issue of system integration.
