To fully go 3D eDdrawing (or any other format) needs to support 3D dimensions and tolerances. For example: PMI in UG, FTA in Catia5. In addition, in the case of Catia5, it will probably need to support the “Material” property and “String” (text) parameters, which contain the notes that used to be in the drawing.
