PLMIG announces American-European PLM comparison in Geneva, 01-03 July

Oxford, England. June 20, 2014 -- The PLMIG PLM Financial Framework initiative has uncovered the real, practical differences in the way that PLM is applied amongst American companies compared to those in Europe.

The breakthrough came during an informal working session at the PTC Live Executive Exchange in Boston last week, entitled: Methodologies to Evaluate the Financial Value of PLM. The methodologies had been generated by Workshops in the UK, France, Germany and Finland - all European countries.

It was clear from the discussions in Boston that PLM Managers in America are concerned with a different perceived set of problems. This difference is so significant that there will be separate versions of the forthcoming PLM Financial Handbook for American and European users, to enable them to follow different paths to develop the same end structure.

The details of how this will work will be discussed at the upcoming PLM Benefits Workshop in Geneva, Switzerland on 01-03 July, and in a matching event in the USA in September. The findings will be relevant not only for the Financial Framework initiative but for all companies that have to implement PLM on both sides of the Atlantic.

More information and registration details are available on the PLMIG web site, or via Email Contact.
