Successful OEMs are continuously focused on saving time and money. An important strategy in streamlining suppliers and control costs is a single digital source of part data. The entire process chain needs access to information for this strategy to work. Solutions for managing commercial part catalogs focus on the collaboration throughout the lifecycle -- even within the most complex design environments with multiple CAD and PDM systems.

In this session, Tim Thomas, CEO of CADENAS PARTsolutions LLC will describe how to bridge the gap between engineering and purchasing within the overall PLM Strategy.

Attendees will learn:

  1. Reuse of current standard and Supplier parts through leveraging your investment in PLM and interoperable CAD systems
  2. How part catalog management provides stability to any PLM environment
  3. Value-driven Purchasing by bringing Engineering and Purchasing Teams together
  4. Review of The Boeing Company’s use of cataloging technology: A Case Study
