SolidCAM Newsletter - October 2008

There is no doubt, that the global financial crisis and economic slowdown will effect the real economy worldwide including the manufacturing industry.

An example is the situation in the automotive industry; Many potential car buyers are worried and are now putting off their purchases of new cars. Due to the falling demand, all leading car manufacturers like General Motors, Renault or Mercedes-Benz have announced a reduction of their car production over the next months. These actions will not only effect business of the direct suppliers to the automotive industry, but a wider segment of the manufacturing industry.

For the manufacturing industry, stormy times are always the best point in time to streamline the production processes. For the CAD/CAM operations this means:

  • Reduce costs by shortening learning curves
  • Improve quality by state-of-the art cutting strategies
  • Shorten lead times by seamless integration of CAD and CAM
Dear reader, thousands of satisfied SolidWorks+SolidCAM customers have proven, that these targets can be achieved and are well prepared today for the future. Thus each crisis offers a chance for you - do not hesite to talk to us.
