Braintech's Robotics Technology Selected By Asian Auto Manufacturer

Company's Strategic Partner, Marubeni, Installs 3D-Vision Guided Robotics System In Hino Motors Plan In Japan

NORTH VANCOUVER, BC, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Braintech Inc. (OTCBB:BRHI), a company that has pioneered 3D-Vision Guided Robotics ("3D- VGR") for use by manufacturers, announced today that its exclusive Asian partner, Marubeni Corporation of Japan, has successfully installed their first production 3D-VGR system for Hino Motors Ltd. in Tokyo, Japan, an affiliate of the Toyota Corporation and one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of buses and trucks in Japan.

The system is used to find the exact position of engine blocks prior to a liquid gasket dispensing process using the Denso VS-6577E robot. A video of this application can be seen on Braintech's website: The software component is built using Braintech's universal VGR platform, eVF(TM) and patent pending vision guidance technology, SC3D(TM).
