CAM software certified for Autodesk Inventor 7

With its hyperMILL computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software, OPEN MIND has become one of the first CAM solution providers to receive official certification for Autodesk’s latest CAD system release, Inventor 7.

Under its Inventor Certified Application programme, Autodesk guarantees that third-party applications offer seamless interoperability with Inventor CAD systems. Partner products bearing the logo must fulfill particular guidelines and test criteria, including ensuring that their products are provided to a consistently high level and that they are compatible with updates and new Autodesk releases. Certified applications are fully integrated into the Inventor user interface, and support and training are provided according to established guidelines.

hyperMILL version 7 seamlessly integrates into Autodesk Inventor series CAD programs, so the CAM software never acts like an add-on but become an integral part of the CAD system, allowing users to continue working in a familiar environment. The integration of hyperMILL V7 in the Autodesk Inventor series is available in the former’s Classic, Pro and Expert software versions.

With the latest release of hyperMILL, OPEN MIND has put the accent on increased productivity, user-friendliness and greater safety. The ability to adapt to a user’s level of knowledge as well as prevent mistakes makes beginners faster because they enjoy a high level of support, while experts also become more efficient as they can control the options and switch off functions they do not need. All input forms are designed to �streamline’ themselves dynamically with each new parameter entered, the effect being that only options meaningful in combination with the previously entered values are available for selection.
