Altair Engineering Hosts Sheet Metal Forming Cost Cutting Lecture Series



TROY, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 24, 2003--Altair Engineering, Inc., an international product design and consulting company based in Troy, Mich., is hosting a series of Sheet Metal Forming Seminars at no cost to attendees this summer. The first of three seminars will be held in cooperation with the Michigan Technical Education Center (M-TEC) beginning July 29 in Grand Rapids, Mich.

The seminars are aimed at engineers that work with sheet metal, primarily in the automotive, aerospace, consumer electronics and appliance industries. With a focus on ways to minimize die design lead-time and stamping tryouts using concurrent engineering, the sessions will be especially instructive to product designers and stylists, process engineers, die development and tryout engineers, material utilization engineers and steel suppliers.

The seminar agenda includes panel discussions and lectures on current trends and the use of simulation software in design engineering by Mr. Ravi Kunju, Manufacturing Technology Manager at Altair Engineering, and industry leaders in tool & die design and the manufacture of sheet metal components.
