Over 300 business owners, presidents, CEO's, VP's, and users joined Graphics Systems for the 2-day Midwest SolidWorks User Conference last year. The overall goal of the conference is to help SolidWorks users gain a clear understanding of more efficient design and manufacturing processes. To close the day, Graphics Systems is hosting a welcome reception in the Grand Geneva’s outdoor pavilion.
The various events held throughout the following two days will reflect the objectives of the conference goals. Tuesday, August 12 will concentrate on Technical Efficiency. Through the entirety of the day, presentations will show users how to become more productive on SolidWorks through shortcuts, tips and tricks. Concurrently, SolidWorks solution partners will be exhibiting FEA, PDM and CAM packages and Rapid Prototyping among other things. Major sponsor Hewlett-Packard will demonstrate hardware optimized for SolidWorks. Upon the completion of the days’ events, more fun is planned as attendees will set sail aboard two boats for a tour of Geneva Lake.
The Technical Efficiency emphasis will continue on the morning of Wednesday, August 13 as other partners present more solutions on products and services related to SolidWorks. A roundtable discussion, “How can SolidWorks make your life easier?” will be held at the same time. In addition, the focus of Wednesday’s other events will also emphasize the future of both SolidWorks and the CAD industry. Keynote speaker Aaron Kelly, Director, Product Management of SolidWorks Corporation, will commence the day discussing the company’s vision and goals at the Executive Briefing Breakfast for presidents, vice-presidents and managers. He will then return in the afternoon to address all attendees on his views regarding the direction of CAD. The remainder of the afternoon will be filled with the “SolidWorks 2004” rollout.
