Blue Ridge Numerics Expands U.S. and European Application Engineering Teams

Four seasoned cae industry professionals added to support new business
and growing worldwide customer base

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. - June 6, 2003 - Blue Ridge Numerics Inc. announces
that it has added four experienced engineering professionals to its sales
and support team to maintain its exceptional customer service while
addressing the increasing demand for its CFdesign� software for fluid flow
and heat transfer simulation in the U.S. as well as international markets.

growth and we don’t see it slowing down anytime soon,” says Ed Williams,
president of Blue Ridge Numerics Inc. (BRNI). “The newest members of our
team each share our mission for putting CFD up font in the design process
and they have the experience to really help current and future customers
realize the full potential of CFdesign.”

Ruben Bons joins Blue Ridge Numerics as the West Region Technical Manager,
bringing with him more than seven years of CAE experience from Structural
Research and Analysis Corporation. His experience spans a wide range of
analysis types, including fluid flow analysis, thermal analysis, linear and
nonlinear structural analysis, dynamics, fatigue, and kinematics. He has
worked in pre- and post-sales support, technical sales, product definition,
consulting, and technical marketing. Ruben has a Master's degree in
Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee Space Institute in
Tullahoma, TN, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Calvin
College in Grand Rapids, MI.

Josh Gray joins BRNI as an application engineer supporting operations in the
Rocky Mountain and Southwest regions. After graduating from the University
of Utah, Gray worked for the mechanical special effects industry at Stan
Winston Studios in Los Angeles before joining Rand Wordwide. At Rand, Gray
supported the CAD/CAM/CAE industry with a variety of tools such as
Pro/ENGINEER, CATIA V5, and Autodesk Inventor before ultimately becoming a
Solutions Architect / Project Manager for custom software development.

David Reid joins Blue Ridge Numerics Limited as an application engineer
supporting operations in the U.K. and continental Europe. He studied
Mechanical & Structural Engineering at Cambridge University. Upon
graduation, Reid went to work for an automotive division of Thyssen Krupp
where he worked on verifying and developing the structural integrity of
chassis and sub-frame designs. Reid worked for PTC for seven years in
various different technical sales roles, culminating in a position in
technical marketing covering the U.K. He was then transferred to PTC
headquarters in Needham, MA, where he worked as the Product Line Manager of
the Behavioral Modeling Extension and the Product Marketing Manager for all
other Functional Simulation products.

Ken Smith joins BRNI as an application engineer supporting operations in the
Mid-Atlantic States. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in
Mechanical Engineering from Syracuse University in 1998, Smith worked at PTC
for two and a half years in the Technical Support Department as a Technical
Support Engineer, supporting all aspects of Pro/ENGINEER, Pro/MECHANICA,
Pro/INTRALINK. Smith then became an application engineer in Northern
Virginia where he covered the Federal Sales Group, dealing with government
organizations and Defense contractors as well as the entire Southeast for
all other types of PTC accounts where he was recognized with a Certificate
of Excellence for work in the field.
