Actify to Support CATIA V5 through Relationship and Products from Spatial

WESTMINSTER, Colo. & SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 6, 2003--Actify(R), Inc., the leader in client-server CAD viewing solutions for the discrete manufacturing industry, announced today that it has signed an agreement with Spatial, a Dassault Systemes S.A. company (Nasdaq: DASTY) (Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA) and market-leading provider of world-class 3D subsystems, to enable Actify's SpinFire(TM) family of products to support CATIA(R) V5.

The agreement with Spatial provides Actify with native translation technology that enables Actify to deliver a CATIA V5 "importer." Actify's CAD importers are modules that enable its SpinFire Professional and Actify Server software to open CAD files without the use of a CAD system. Importers open and read files from all major CAD systems, and they publish files from all major CAD systems into Actify's compact, secure and shareable .3D file format.

"CATIA V5 is a format our customers are asking for and is rapidly becoming a major CAD system in the design and manufacturing world," says Actify President and CEO Roger Gerdes. "Our agreement with Spatial is an important milestone in Actify's ongoing commitment to partner with CAD companies to develop the best and most effective visualization and collaboration solutions for our customers."

"Spatial is at the forefront of providing world-class, native CATIA V5 translation technology," said Linda Lokay, executive vice president, marketing and product development for Spatial. "Our recent agreement with Actify demonstrates the power our InterOp Components can provide to our partners' applications and is another example of the proliferation of CATIA V5 technology."
