SAN RAFAEL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 14,
2003--StereoGraphics(R) Corporation, the world's leading supplier of
Stereo3D(TM) visualization products, today launched two new
SynthaGram(TM) Glasses-Free 3D(TM) monitors as well as the SynthaGram
Player. These additions to the SynthaGram product line create the most
complete and technologically advanced range of autostereoscopic
products. StereoGraphics now has four SynthaGram monitors, meeting the
widest range of potential applications for 3D. The SynthaGram Player
has the ability to run movies and slide shows.
The SynthaGram offers Stereo3D visualization with wide viewing
angles and does not require special eyewear. The displays create
stunning still and moving images that are so realistic they rivet the
viewer's attention. The SynthaGram uses premier lenticular technology,
unlike other systems that use raster barriers. The lenticular approach
creates images that are dramatically brighter and without surface
reflections and distracting pattern noise common in raster barrier
Due to the crisp, bright images and wide viewing angles, the
SynthaGram is ideal for public display settings. Applications include
in store retail displays, arcades, gaming, corporate lobbies,
boardrooms, tradeshow booths and kiosks, automotive dealerships,
museums, and theme parks.
The SynthaGram 182 and 222 are the most recent additions to the
product line. StereoGraphics now has four SynthaGram models available,
each with its ideal applications:
|--||SynthaGram 422 - The SynthaGram 422, our largest plasma display at 42", is ideal for public space displays and presentations such as corporate lobbies, theme parks or retail where it is necessary to catch the attention of a large audience|
|--||SynthaGram 222 - The SynthaGram 222 is the highest resolution 3D LCD monitor available at a phenomenal 3840 x 2400. This monitor is the bleeding edge in autostereoscopic technology and offers exceptional 3D images for users in scientific, medical and wherever the clarity of images is critical. It approaches photographic-quality realism and is equivalent to viewing images with CrystalEyes(R), the standard of stereo viewing in molecular modeling, aerial mapping, and industrial virtual reality.|
|--||SynthaGram 202 - The SynthaGram 202 is our mid-range monitor, also with high resolution (1600 x 1200). It is ideal for both desktop and countertop displays such as retail point of purchase or tradeshow booths|
|--||SynthaGram 182 - The SynthaGram 182 has a resolution of 1280 x 1024, and is designed for desktop displays and special applications such as arcades and gaming|
|--||Content Creation and Playback - The SynthaGram comes with everything needed to develop and playback Stereo3D content, including a content creation toolkit, a compatible graphics card, 3D Studio Max(R)/VIZ(R) and Maya(R) (Q2 2003) plug-ins, and the SynthaGram Player. With the addition of the SynthaGram Player to the product line, the technology infrastructure is now in place to develop and playback photographic, movie, video and computer generated 3D content on the SynthaGram monitor. The SynthaGram Player works with SynthaGram plug-ins and allows content to be played on any SynthaGram Monitor|
"The SynthaGram product family allows our customers to fulfill any
of their 3D visualization needs," explained StereoGraphics' CEO, Lenny
Lipton. "In addition, our in-house proprietary manufacturing process
allows us to quickly create new models of SynthaGram monitors to meet
new business needs for 3D viewing without glasses. Customers in the
scientific and industrial markets who are accustomed to viewing in 3D
with special eyewear will find the SynthaGram 222 even more exciting.
It will allow them to match the quality of their current solution
without the need for special eyewear."
