Eigner and Sector Consulting Partner to Deliver Product Lifecycle Management Solutions

Partnership Combines Eigner PLM and Sector Consulting Services to Provide Manufacturers With PLM-Enabled Product Risk Management Solutions

WALTHAM, MA and PARIS -- (INTERNET WIRE) -- 04/01/2003 -- Eigner, a leading developer of precision product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions, and Sector Consulting, strategic risks management firm, today announced a partnership to deliver PLM to Sector’s risk management clients.

The partnership, which consists of technology integration, joint marketing and sales activities, will provide customers with comprehensive solutions for managing the complete lifecycle of a product -- from initial customer requirements through post-manufactured service and support, including all logistical processes. By integrating PLM with Sector’s consulting practice, manufacturers can significantly reduce the risks associated with designing, manufacturing, selling and servicing new products.

“Sector Consulting provides strategic solutions that diagnose and optimize the complex systems in a manufacturing organization to reduce the risks faced when introducing and servicing new products,” said Thiebaut Viel, Director at Sector Consulting. “Eigner’s ability to manage intellectual property throughout the entire product lifecycle, combined with its strong MRO functionality and single data model, provide an excellent foundation for delivering risk management solutions with significant, measurable results.”

“By combining Eigner’s PLM solutions with Sector’s leading risk management practices, we can provide manufacturing organizations with a complete solution to address the risks associated with producing and servicing new and innovative products,” said Frank Waldman, vice president of business development at Eigner. “Today’s announcement further strengthens Eigner’s presence in the French market, and we look forward to working with Sector to address the PLM needs of its clients.”

About Sector Consulting

Sector Consulting provides high value-added services on complex industrial systems and logistics that directly impact the strategy of companies. These services mainly consist of assessment and optimization of sophisticated and complex systems by means of a risk-based approach and of total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.

Sector Consulting specializes in the fields of “Industrial Assets Optimization,” “Global Risk Management,” “Value-based Management,” ”Risk-based Decision Making” and “Precautic” (Integrating the precautionary principles in a strategic approach).

These truly value-added services are achieved by integrating track-record proven methods and tools in a new approach which aggregates the results from the various methods applied. This aggregation leads to a clearer and broader understanding of the systems under scrutiny, and enables to focus precisely on risk-high areas, which then can be optimized in a value creation perspective.
