CAD-Integrated CAM Solutions with hyperMILL from OPEN MIND Technologies AG

See OPEN MIND at Westec 2009 Booth 3375

WELLESLEY HILLS, MASSACHUSETTS, March 2009 - OPEN MIND Technologies USA Inc. presents the successful hyperMILL® CAM software at Westec in Los Angeles, from March 30 - April 2. hyperMILL is presented as an integrated solution in SolidWorks® and Autodesk® Inventor™, as well as a standalone CAM system within its powerful hyperCAD® front-end.

OPEN MIND Technologies hyperMILL® CAM software integrates all the available strategies and applications, ranging from 2D, 3D, HSC and 5axis milling to mill-turning and various special applications, under a single intuitive Windows-based user interface. OPEN MIND also provides CNC postprocessors that are individually adapted to the actual machine tool and controller. The postprocessor reliably converts neutral NC output data, together with additional data from hyperMILL CAM modules into machining programs.

hyperMILL® thus makes it possible to program the entire machining of even the most sophisticated parts with just one CAM software system. This offers a significant advantage to users looking for integrated processes, lower processing times and high levels of reliability. As a CAD-integrated solution, hyperMILL® is ideal for building up integrated process chains, which is another major benefit.

Seen as core competence, machining strategies and NC postprocessor technology are developed by OPEN MIND direct staff. This process improves the communication of technology to sales and technical support staff, thereby providing customers with better products and better service. Product demonstrations in the booth include automation through feature-based-technology, medical and commercial product components, and specialty applications in the racing and turbomachinery market sectors.

CAD and CAM: Same user interface, same database
All integrated hyperMILL® CAM solutions allow users to work with the user interface they are familiar with from their specific CAD application. As a result, users can easily exploit hyperMILL®'s wide range of machining strategies and optimisation functions to flexibly program their workpieces. A further advantage of the CAD-integrated solution is that both the CAD and CAM system access the same database. Using one single data model for the entire process - from the design and programming to the simulation - guarantees maximum transparency and process reliability.

First-class hyperMILL® CAD integrations receive top awards
CAD-integrated hyperMILL® solutions are available for, SolidWorks®, thinkdesign, Autodesk® Inventor™ and hyperCAD®. In designating hyperMILL® as a 'Gold Partner Product', SolidWorks® also conferred its highest award based on outstanding integration, quality and interoperability in relation to its own CAD environment. hyperMILL is a certified CAM solution for Autodesk Inventor.
