Edgecam to be showcased at SolidWorks World 2009

Southfield, MICHIGAN, Febuary 2009:  Planit will demonstrate the latest release of Edgecam, 2009 R1, at the SolidWorks World 2009 Conference, being held February 8–11, 2009 in Lake Buena Vista, FL.  Show attendees will see how designers and engineers can maximize efficiency and productivity through seamless integration between Edgecam and SolidWorks 3D mechanical design software.

As a SolidWorks Certified CAM Partner, Edgecam and SolidWorks together focus on improved machining process through enhanced CAM strategies. Edgecam allows native file handling of 3D models with faster processing and shorter programming times. The associative link between Edgecam Solid Machinist with (AFR) Automatic Feature Recognition and SolidWorks significantly reduces the burden of reworking NC programs from revised or updated model changes. Automatic Feature Recognition and Knowledge Based Machining through Strategy Manager also allow for customizable automation routines and machining strategies.

Edgecam Solid Machinist when combined with Edgecam Strategy Manager provides optimized user definable machining processes that give consistent measurable results for today’s competitive environments.
