Bunkspeed Releases HyperShot V 1.5 for photographic 3D rendering

New Version Brings Even More Brilliance and Realism to 3D Faster Than Ever before

Los Angeles, CA. June 30, 2008 - Bunkspeed®, a leading global provider of 3D rendering visualization software for design, engineering, and marketing, today announced the availability of HyperShot® V 1.5, an eagerly awaited upgrade to the groundbreaking HyperShot product released a year ago.

The new version delivers key performance enhancements that make for rock-solid interaction between HyperShot and all major 3D solid and surface modeling products, as well as even brighter, more realistic photographs rendered yet faster from 3D models.

Phillip Lunn, CEO of Bunkspeed said, “The amazing success of HyperShot so far shows that there is a critical need for a renderer that is perfect in every way – fast, easy to use, superb photographic output, and affordable. So we are committed to ensuring that even the smallest performance improvement is delivered to our customers as rapidly as possible so they get the continued benefits of using the world’s best 3D renderer.”

These improvements include:

Faster Performance through:
Improved real-time raytracing by providing faster calculation of self shadows.
Better real-time handling of materials on objects without texture coordinates.
Cached material library, which will display all materials instantly.

Improved Rendering through:
Sharper shadows in the final rendering.
Sharper texture maps.
Better turntable animation in HyperShot Pro.

Improved Translators including:
Support for Rhinoceros on the Mac, plug-in available for Rhino on Windows.
Improved support for Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.
Improved SolidWorks file and IGES support.

In addition, Bunkspeed has totally revamped the product licensing process to allow interactive Internet activation of trial and permanent license.

Peter Kossev, Principal, Pixelmathematics, a provider of high-end product development consulting to many of the world's top manufacturers and a beta tester of this new version said “Bunkspeed's previous version of HyperShot was already more than what we could have dreamed about few years ago. This new release is simply superb and makes me only wonder what could possibly be next. HyperShot has changed the way we work and communicate design ideas forever, and we simply love it!”

HyperShot is available on both Windows and Mac systems and is available in the HyperShot Web version for $195. HyperShot HD is available for $995, which offers up to 4.1 megapixel resolution on images, and HyperShot Pro which delivers unlimited resolution images at a cost of $3,495 plus maintenance.
