Romax Technology Announces Release Date for RomaxDesigner R1.91

Romax Technology, a world-leading supplier of knowledge based solutions to the driveline and power transmissions engineering community, is pleased to announce that RomaxDesigner R1.91 will be available from the 7th October. This latest release further refines the object orientated approach pioneered in the previous versions to provide a complete powertrain modelling solution from gearing input to axle driveshafts

The focus of Release 1.91 has been to further expand the coverage to all areas of driveline and power transmissions engineering whilst at the same time, working to make the software available at all engineering levels. To enable this, Romax are offering RomaxDesigner as a wider range of products that will match the needs and budget of entry-level and advanced customers.

New modules available for this release are: RomaxNVH, Advanced Full-Complement Needle Bearings, Advanced Thrust Needle Roller Bearings and Hydrostatic Units. RomaxNVH extends RomaxDesigner into the area of NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) analysis. This suite of new module s allows the dynamic behaviour of coupled gearbox systems to be studied and specifically simulate gear whine.

In addition to enhanced analysis capabilities, improvements have been made to the usability of RomaxDesigner for complex gearbox and axle configurations. These include gear train manipulation, assembly of differential axle arrangements and shaft section optimization

About the RomaxDesigner Family:

RomaxDesigner is a system of highly integrated process-centric tools, starting with concept design and extending to design for manufacture simulations. RomaxDesigner is unique since object-modelling philosophy at the heart of the software can be used to effortlessly build, update and refine a concept model. This single product model is a unique approach to transmission design representing the system behaviour, known as “misalignment stackup” that ultimately controls the performance of any particular transmission system.

About Romax Technology Limited:

Romax is a transmission-engineering specialist, with a track record of over twelve years of design and consultancy, with its own unique in-house technology. Romax provides the ability to model and test software transmission and drive system prototypes in a highly efficient design environment which has revolutionised the design process allowing designs to be optimised and development times to be cut.

Initially established as a developer of advanced transmission analysis software, which is now the industrial standard world-wide, we have grown to encompass all the aspects and methodologies of gearbox and axle specification, analysis, design and testing. We have dedicated ourselves to understanding each of our clients’ special needs and challenges in its geographical location as well as in the global context, bringing added value to our clients’ processes and products. Romax offers insight and an objective perspective on the global transmissions industry.
