Three winners will be selected. All prizes are cash awards: $5,000 for first place, $2,500 for second place, and $1,000 for third place.
Contestants can use any format supported by Spatial's InterOp Translators; CATIA(R) V4, CATIA V5, Autodesk Inventor(R), SolidWorks(R), Pro/Engineer(R), and Unigraphics NX; and standards STEP (AP203 or AP214) and IGES. The winners will be cross-translated to other formats at the Insiders' Summit to demonstrate the agility and robustness of InterOp Translators.
Contestants' submissions should demonstrate the innovative use of all of the relevant CAD system's design and documentation capabilities, including maximum use of assembly modeling, feature modeling, dimensioning, and tolerancing. Designs should include all relevant file types. Models from the consumer goods, industrial machinery and equipment, medical equipment, ship building, and transportation industries are most desirable, but all entries will be considered.
Anyone can enter the contest except for Spatial and Dassault Systemes employees and their relatives. Visit www.spatial.com/model_contest for more information and submission instructions.
