On Monday, February 5th, Loren Welch will present an intermediate-level breakout session from 10:30-noon entitled "Weldment Tips and Tricks with SolidWorks 2007." Attendees will learn key tips to help them with their weldment designs. Topics will include custom profile creation, cut-list properties, 3D sketching, SolidWorks templates, 3D content and more.
On Monday at 2:45-3:45, 3DVision Technologies AE Scott High will present an intermediate-level breakout session entitled "Utilizing SolidWorks Office Premium and NextEngine for Reverse Engineering." During this session attendees will gain a better understanding of SolidWorks reverse engineering capabilities. Users will also learn how to use the NextEngine 3D scanner and how to perform post-processing techniques to prepare a valid solid model in SolidWorks.
On Tuesday, February 6th from 2:45-3:45, Randy Simmons will present an intermediate-level session entitled "Using, Understanding, and Customizing SolidWorks Toolbox and Smart Fasteners." Attendees will learn how to properly install, use, share, understand and customize the SolidWorks Toolbox and Smart Fasteners features in SolidWorks.
On Wednesday, February 7th from 1:30-2:30, 3DVision Technologies AE Daniel Graham will present an advanced-level session entitled "Computer Hardware for SolidWorks and CosmosWorks: Selection, Setup and Maintenance." This session aims at increasing productivity by focusing on new hardware selection for both mobile and stationary workstation-based CAD users. Topics covered include software setup of operation system, peripherals, and pertinent settings with SolidWorks to obtain performance boosts.
Also on Wednesday, from 2:45-3:45, Vikram Vedantham will present an intermediate-level session entitled "Flowcharts for Planning Nonlinear Analyses." Vedantham, CAE Technical Specialist at 3DVision Technologies, was ranked one of the top three CAE technical analysts among all North American SolidWorks value-added resellers in 2005. His session aims at enabling attendees to gain a better understanding of when and how to approach nonlinear analysis with Cosmos. Topics will include typical causes of nonlinear analysis, different types of non-linearity, flowcharts to guide users to solve problems with geometric, material and boundary condition non-linearity, and examples illustrating the use of flowcharts to solve non-linear problems.
