A3DS Announces Release of ParaLogix Version 2.1
May 1, 2002 -- Merrimack, NH – A3DS (Applied 3D Science, Inc.), continued its bid to become the high value, low cost leader in the solids modeling world, by announcing its latest release, ParaLogix Version 2.1. The new release, that begins shipping in late May, contains over 50 new enhancements for improving large model and assembly performance, model creation, design changes, and drawing documentation.

“These new enhancements, coupled with the industry-standard Parasolid® and D-Cubed® core technology of ParaLogix, exemplifies our commitment to provide designers with the most value-oriented and productive solid modeling product available in the market,” stated Steve Mastrangelo, CEO and President of A3DS. “Designers will benefit from the improved large model and assembly efficiency and achieve greater flexibility and speed when making design changes with new the procedural modeling capabilities. We’re also completing our dimensioning support with the addition of advanced section views, and dimensioning types such as datums and balloon notes, all aimed at providing our users a productive design solution.”

The release of ParaLogix Version 2.1 is also evidence of A3DS’ continuing goal to provide a minimum of three releases per year. Customers who have purchased or are purchasing the current ParaLogix Version 2.03 will receive Version 2.1, free of charge.
