Rotoblock To Jointly Develop Hybrid Drive Train With Apollo Energy Systems

SANTA ROSA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Jan 31, 2006 -- Rotoblock (OTC BB: ROTB) announced today that the company has signed a letter of intent to form A Joint Venture between Apollo Energy Systems, Inc., a leading Fuel cell and battery manufacturer, for the purpose of developing a hybrid electric drive-train with integrated OPE engine. Coupled with the lightweight Lead Foam Cobalt Battery and fuel cell from Apollo, the OPE engine would potentially give better performance than today's internal combustion engines. The Lead Cobalt Battery would give better performance than the Nickel Metal Hydride batteries now being almost universally used in Hybrid Vehicles and the Apollo fuel cell would increase the efficiency and environmental compatibility of electric energy generation. Under terms of the LOI, the Rotoblock's OPE would be first used in a technology demonstrator hybrid electric car.

Matthias Heinze, the president of Rotoblock Inc., stated: "We are excited about the opportunity to combine the technologies of both companies to create a new concept in hybrid electric propulsion." Rotoblock OPE technology can be applied to a vast number of industries such as aerospace, power generators, manufacturing, aeronautical applications, home & garden power equipment and expects to soon enter into other joint ventures and / or licensing agreement for its technologies.

Great that two companys have signed agreement to jointly build a new power system for an extended range car, to bad they have also set their eyes on China and India as places to build this new technology...No wonder these two countries are equal to or further ahead of the USA when it comes to start-up,, newly developed items that may make the world a cleaner, healthier place to live. But then again, it may be the fact these countries have a lower cost of production then here in the USA
