CSI Releases DesignDataManager 2005.4

NEWBURY, Berkshire, UK, January 16th, 2006 - Concurrent Systems Inc Ltd, a leading developer of heterogeneous design data and document management solutions, today announces the latest release of their flagship data management product, DesignDataManager 2005.4

DDM 2005.4 predominantly gives users the opportunity to fully integrate AutoCAD data into their PDM solution.

The DDM AutoCAD integration supports external references and ‘in-place’ x-ref editing along with previews within DDM and automatic title block population, in-line with recent engineering change enhancements.

As is standard with all DDM integrations, users also benefit from automatic .pdf generation on every drawing save, enhancing generic viewing throughout the DDM solution.

The DDM AutoCAD integration will be delivered on the DDM Office platform joining an integration for Co-Create’s OneSpace Designer Drafting.

Improving on DDM’s release control mechanisms, CSI have also introduced the “DDM Release Manager” affording users the ability to release multiple database objects, including objects that are related to each other, from a single dialogue.

In essence, a DDM user will be able to select a top-level assembly and, depending on the users access control change the release state on all children in one hit. Users can also add a global comment to each released object which is automatically added to the objects lifecycle history.
