The digital process chain on the basis of COMPASS in the Autodesk VIP lounge at CeBIT
Karlsfeld, March 6th 2002--AIM systems announces that its EDM/PDM system COMPASS will be presented in the Autodesk VIP lounge at CeBIT as the basis of the presentation of the digital process chain. The motto of the presentation will be Inventor&friends. It is about an inventor model managed in COMPASS and developed with Inventor, EdgeCAM and Visual Nastran.
Autodesk presents at CeBIT the continuous digital process chain around an inventor model of a racing car. Inventor will get started and managed from the platform COMPASS. This proves that 3D construction without an EDM/PDM system is hardly possible. Burkhard Hurnig, Autodesk Product Manager for Mechanic and Engineering in DACH confirms: “The deep integration of Inventor Autodesk into COMPASS makes engineering much more easier. The engineer does not have to organise any more where to save files and has more fun working, because COMPASS manages CAD files for him. And at last with the first changes and new versions the use of an EDM/PDM system as COMPASS gets indispensable.”
