Camarillo, Calif.—June 17, 2005— Continuing its pursuit to support manufacturing engineering education, DP Technology Corp., creators of ESPRIT CAM software, will sponsor an international conference titled, “Looking Forward: Innovations in Manufacturing Engineering Education,” put on by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers(SME) and International Institution for Production Engineering Research (CIRP).
The conference, to be held at Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo, Calif., promises to strengthen manufacturing engineering education and help shape its future by fostering communication among a global set of participants.
DP’s CEO, Dan Frayssinet will present a speech regarding, “Successful Strategies and Technologies for a Changing Manufacturing World,” addressing important topics for those in manufacturing engineering education today.
Expected to attract between 150 to 200 educators and representatives from at least ten countries around the world, the conference is an opportunity for manufacturing educators to address issues related to global shifts in manufacturing, shifts in jobs, pollution, international trade and international manufacturing.
