Lyon, France – April 28th , 2005 –TTF, a leading company in CAD data interoperability and multi-CAD DMU, announced today that it will perform Intelligent Data Compression on both UGS formats, JT and NX during PLMWORLD 2005 in Dallas. Attendees who will bring NX files will be showed live compression on these files and will compare the size of PRC, JT and NX. From PRC applied to JT and NX , translation will be made to another geometric format to show the persistency of all the native attributes of the files.
“We are very excited to present our technology to PLMWORLD attendees. It reduces dramatically the size of JT and NX formats while keeping all the necessary information available in their native environment such as features, history tree, layers, geometry etc..”. Said Lionel Vieilly , Director Pre sales Activities at TTF.
An endangered leader.
The actual size of JT and NX formats files cannot compete at all with emerging solutions. However JT is widely used in many industries all over the world while emerging solutions are not industry-proved. That is why TTF has chosen to work to improve the current situation.
“In the Jungle of visualisation formats ,we think that our technology once applied to the de facto leader, JT, (and to UG NX) is a very good solution for UGS customers to prevent using other much more compressed format, from UGS competitors”. Said Francis ALLIAS CEO of TTF.
