Magics meets the demands of traditional tool making: Full integration of standard tooling components in tool design software

Ann Arbor, MI, January 15th, 2002 - In its latest release of Magics Tooling, Materialise introduces electronic libraries enabling injection mold designers to produce complex tooling assemblies more efficiently. With this module, Materialise meets the needs of the traditional tool making industry.

The standard tooling components are fully integrated into Magics in an intuitive, advanced and highly automated way, significantly accelerating design of a complete tool assembly. One push of the button and standard mold assembly components are readily available. The results: significant timesaving compared to drawing the components.

Make complex assemblies in an efficient and timely manner

Composing assemblies normally takes a great deal of time. Now this job can be completed quickly and easily. It takes only a single mouse click to switch from the tool designed in Magics Tooling to PARTassembly. With its extensive number of choices and numerous possibilities in tool assemblies, PARTassembly makes clear organization of the assembly easy. The range of possible components is intelligently filtered, providing you with an initial quality control check since impossible combinations are not allowed. With the fast link between the two systems, it is very easy to export the chosen assembly to Magics.

Import a single component in only a few mouse clicks

In case you wish to add a single component to your tool design, PARTviewer takes you rapidly to the desired 3D standard component. Thanks to excellent search functions and well-organized structure, it is extremely simple to find the right component in the enormous amount of data that is in the library. Once you have found the component you need, it only takes a single mouse click to export the component to Magics.
