EFFOX And ENERFAB Engage ETO-ERP Encompix

CINCINNATI—(BUSINESS WIRE)—July 19, 2004— ENERFAB: To maintain its leadership position, ENERFAB has partnered with Encompix ETO (Engineer-to-Order) ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) to improve operational performance by eliminating duplicate data entry and integrating design engineering with operations. First serving the brewing industry, ENERFAB expanded its linings technology to include a wide variety of food and beverage applications.

Simultaneously, ENERFAB developed an expansive steel fabrication capability. Over time, their growth expanded to include boiler/mechanical installations.

Today, ENERFAB has emerged as a leading process solution firm with design/build capabilities serving the process industries including chemical, food and beverage, mining, pharmaceutical, power generation, and pulp and paper.

ENERFAB has over 2,600 employees in 10 locations. The initial implementation will be at the Brighton Tru-Edge Heads division, located in Sharonville, Ohio, a few miles from Encompix's Cincinnati headquarters.

EFFOX: According to David Robinson, the President of EFFOX, the reason his company sought an ETO ERP system: "We are operating the business with a very antiquated systems infrastructure that impinges our ability to grow and presents significant business risk should the system fail." Robinson's team selected Encompix as the best ETO choice for EFFOX because, "The software fits our business model better than the other software packages considered." Robinson also added, "Working with another Cincinnati company provided the added benefit of close proximity during evaluation and negotiation, as well as similar benefit during implementation and ongoing operations."

Founded in 1980, EFFOX engineers and manufactures dampers and expansion joints to customer design specifications for use in flue gas and process air handling systems. For existing systems, EFFOX provides rebuilding and repair services, including basic design modification.

EFFOX is expecting an increase in business later this year resulting from federal clean air regulations. EFFOX management realized that a new integrated business system was needed to take advantage of these opportunities.

Encompix will replace an old Open Systems OSAS financial system that was used in conjunction with a Q&A, purchasing, and job costing database. EFFOX anticipates that the implementation of the fully integrated Encompix system will allow them to take advantage of new business opportunities without adding indirect staff.

Encompix, http://www.Encompix.com, is the leading ETO ERP software company worldwide.
