PLMIG announces Wärtsilä will host PLM Financial Framework workshop in Finland

Oxford, England. October 31, 2013

The PLM Interest Group announces that the fourth event in the PLM Financial Framework series will be hosted by Wärtsilä at their headquarters in Vaasa, Finland on 03-05 December. Wärtsilä took part in the first Financial Framework workshop in June, and their hosting will ensure a solid, user-oriented platform for the discussions.

This event is a "twin" with the Workshop in Frankfurt a week earlier ( see MCADCafe). The events will follow exactly the same format, so participants can attend the one that is more convenient for location or timing. Everyone who takes part in a workshop receives the results of the whole series.

The two events will build on the results of the Manchester and Toulouse workshops in June, which produced the PLM Financial Primer and also the raw material for a full PLM metrics framework.

The Frankfurt and Vaasa Workshops will not only develop this material to the next level, but will focus on what the PLM Team needs to do in order to establish proper PLM financial justification and management.

The overall aim is not only to produce an international, neutral methodology to show the costs and value of PLM, but to provide a method for integrating PLM into the financial and accounting mechanism of any company that implements it.

Registration for Vaasa is now open, and PLM practitioners and their financial colleagues from all types of organisation and from any country are welcome to attend. More information is available on the PLMIG web site, or via Email Contact.
