PlastiSoft Corporation Joins IBM's ISV Advantage Initiative To Help Plastics Industry Customers

TORONTO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 18-03-2004 -- PlastiSoft Corporation, a producer of ERP software designed specifically for the Plastics Industry, has joined IBM's ISV Advantage Initiative, a program designed to provide independent software vendors (ISVs) with technical and marketing support to help meet the specific information technology needs of small and medium business (SMB) companies. Customers are seeking solutions that help them better integrate processes and applications internally and externally and allow them to quickly respond to changing market opportunities on demand.

PlastiSoft provides three products for the Plastics Industry. TORI-FLEX is a full ERP product designed specifically for Flexible packaging and bag making. TORI-1000 is designed for injection molders and discrete manufacturing, while RIMMS is designed for Plastic Recyclers and compounders.

Enabling RIMMS, TORI-FLEX and TORI-1000 on IBM WebSphere* Internet infrastructure software will help PlastiSoft Corporation expand into the SMB market faster and more effectively than is possible with proprietary platforms.

"We are firmly committed to delivering the best solutions for Plastics Manufacturers in the SMB market, and an important component of our strategy is the ability to use Web Sphere as an application consolidation platform," said Jacob Aharon, PlastiSoft President. "We strongly believe that IBM's technologies will help us expand into the SMB market faster and more effectively than would be possible with proprietary technologies. The current portal technology IBM is offering our current and future clients will ensure they are able to consolidate and report on data from multiple locations across North America and the world."

"Medium sized businesses are seeking open and dependable solutions that are cost effective and easy to maintain," said Buell Duncan, general manager, ISV & Developer Relations, IBM. "We are pleased that PlastiSoft has joined ISV Advantage and recognize the value of working together to best meet our joint customer needs in the plastics industry."

The IBM WebSphere family includes products that are designed and priced specifically for small and medium businesses -- easy to install and manage, scalable to grow with a business, rich in functionality, and based on open standards to allow integration with existing software and hardware platforms.

PlastiSoft Corporation will also work closely with IBM to expand its visibility in target vertical industries through various co-marketing and sales activities.

ISV Advantage is administered by PartnerWorld for Developers, the developer resource for IBM Business Partners. It is a worldwide program designed to help software developers reach broader markets, lower their costs of doing business, and take their products to market faster.
