modularis software AG, the leading provider of the CAD-independent 2D/3D standard-parts and symbols-database 'cad-symbols' has increased and redesigned its services. Interested users now can have an overview about the total content without registration through the always-present navigation-tree on the right side of the site. Just when downloading the selected symbol they have to enter their personal login (E-Mail and password). The complete service can be tested 2 months for free.
New libraries within the database are: 'Fluid power systems and components', 'civil engineering' and `spectrum signs`. New within the architectural libraries is 'sun protection systems` and 'connections and insulations` within building equipment. The existing libraries for mechanical engineering, steel construction and plant engineering have been overworked and completed.
All cad-symbols and standard parts are provided through direct interfaces for AutoCAD, CATIA V5, Mechanical Desktop, PRO/E, SolidWorks, Solid Edge and TopSolid. With this new technology, the selected part can be inserted in the CAD-system without installing any plug-in on the desktop. Due to this worldwide unique technology, so-called 'native formats' are useless.
For all other CAD-systems standard formats like DXF, SAT, IGES, STEP or VDA-FS can be used! These formats are permanently maintained and optimised by modularis so that possible conversion errors are not probable. For DTP also Pixel-formats (JPG, BMP, PNG, TIF, etc.) are available.
