Z Corp. Announces Distribution Agreement With Charrette
Burlington, MA- Z Corporation announced today that it has formed an agreement with Charrette, headquartered in Woburn, Massachusetts, whereby Charrette will distribute Z Corp.’s complete line of 3D Printers to the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (“AEC”) market. Charrette is a worldwide leading equipment supplier to the reprographics and AEC industries.
A recent explosion of interest in 3D Printing from the AEC industry culminated in the distribution agreement between Z Corporation and Charrette. “Throughout the past 40 years we have sought out the best solutions for the design industry. We believe Z Corp.’s offering is a natural extension of our existing product lines. Their technology provides an affordable means of producing 3D models for a variety of design applications. In many ways, Z Corp.’s solution is as revolutionary as the first plotters were decades ago.” John J. Ford III (“Jack”), Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Charrette.
Three major reprographics houses recently purchased 3D Printers from Z Corp., incorporating Z Corp. models into their service offering: National Reprographics in New York, and Service Point USA and BL Makepeace in Massachusetts. “The AEC industry has aggressively adopted 3D CAD software in the last year, providing the industry with the tools they need to utilize Z Corporation’s technology. While model-making has been a mainstay of the architectural industry, Z Corp.’s 3D Printers provide architects and engineers with quality low-cost models in a fraction of the time of traditional methods and with far less labor. Our large-format Z810 3D Printer can make very sizeable models in just hours. The automated process also replicates the true design without the errors caused by human interpretation. We have observed the true impact Z Corp. models have in communicating design ideas and winning new business in the AEC industry,” explained John Kawola, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Z Corporation will be exhibiting its complete line of 3D Printers at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) National Convention and Expo, June 10-12, 2004, in Chicago at McCormick Place. Additional information can be found at www.zcorp.com
