Molex Receives Delphi Automotive Systems Excellent Supplier Award

For the second time Molex Dongguan, China, receives prestigious honor; Molex only connector company to receive award this year

LISLE, Ill. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — February 15, 2011Molex Incorporated has been recognized for the second time with an Excellent Supplier Award by Delphi Automotive Systems (China), a leading global supplier of electronics and technologies for automotive, commercial vehicle and other market segments. The award was announced at Delphi’s Supplier Meeting at the Pullman Hotel in Beijing in November. Molex first won the award in 2007, the year Delphi launched its Supplier Meeting, which is held once every three years.

The award recognizes suppliers that meet or exceed Delphi’s performance expectations for quality, delivery and cost. Among the award winners, Molex was the only connector supplier honored. “Molex is incredibly privileged to receive this distinction from Delphi,” said Alan Chen, global product manager, Molex. “We pride ourselves on delivering the best possible products and services to our customers and this award reinforces our commitment to the automotive and commercial vehicle markets that Delphi services.”

In a congratulatory message, Lihai Sun, Asia Pacific advanced supplier quality manager, Delphi, thanked Molex for its contribution to the OSP (Oxygen Sensor Product) harness localization project and for its consistent product quality. “The program not only helped Delphi in achieving its cost reduction but also its goal to exceed customer expectations,” said Sun. ”I firmly believe Delphi and Molex will continue to work very well in the future and thank Molex for its team effort.”
