"For Q2 2010 we are initiating guidance of $235 to $245 million in revenue," Moses added. "We are expecting approximately 30% year-over-year growth in our license revenue in Q2 2010 and 7% year-over-year growth in total revenue." The Q2 2010 GAAP EPS target is $0.02 - $0.07. The Q2 2010 guidance assumes a GAAP tax rate of 15% and 120 million diluted shares outstanding”.
G4 MCAD Vendor Stock Performances
Table 3 below reveals that the combined total stock price of the G4 only advanced a very modest 4.8% over the course of calendar Q1 2010, a growth figure that was still slightly outpaced by the 5.7% rise of the NASDAQ Composite index over the same period. Nevertheless, at 4.8% the G4 total did outperform the 4.1% growth of the more lethargic DJI during Q1 2010.
Both Autodesk and PTC stocks individually outpaced the NASDAQ's Q1 2010 percentage rise by wider margins than the G4 sum, but neither ANSYS nor Dassault Systemes kept up with even the NASDAQ's modest 5.7% rise in calendar Q1 2010.
However, the combined total stock price of the G4 leapt an impressive 65.3% (from 90.64 to 149.81) year to year, and that rise was more than enough to eclipse the NASDAQ's remarkable percentage growth over the same 12 months of 58.0%, and the G4 easily outpaced the DJI which itself grew by +42.7%!
Indeed, both ANSYS and PTC stocks outdid the NASDAQ's percentage growth year-over-year, and both Autodesk and Dassault Systemes' stock prices grew nearly 50% each (as did ESI's!).
**Note: ESI Group is traded on the NYSE Euronext Paris Exchange, classified as a small cap stock. Its stock prices have not been summed in the TOTAL line in Table 3 above, to maintain the practice employed in previous MCAD Commentaries.
