Qualified SAP(R) Vertical Solutions Reseller Partners Offer Five New Industry-Specific mySAP(TM) All-in-One Solutions
mySAP All-in-One vertical solutions are based on industry best practices developed from SAP's and its partners' thirty years of experience helping the world's leading businesses to integrate their operations, solve critical business processes, and manage their enterprises more efficiently. By drawing on these best practices, SAP and its partners deliver vertical solutions with industry-specific functionality in an affordable and easy-to-implement package for small and midsize businesses, ensuring rapid return on investment.
"What distinguishes small and midsize companies is not the size of their business, but more often, the industry in which they operate," said Gary Fromer, vice president of small and midsize business and hosting, SAP. "We are leveraging the vertical industry experience of our entire ecosystem -- SAP, our customers, and our partners -- by working with key partners to develop cost-effective, pre-packaged mySAP All-in-One solutions that help small and midsize businesses operate with the power and sophistication of big business, with limited implementation timeframes and predictable cost and return on investment."
mySAP All-in-One solutions are available through SAP's network of certified vertical solutions reseller partners. Plaut Sigma Solutions, an existing SAP vertical solution reseller, now offers two mySAP All-in-One solutions for consumer packaged goods (CPG) -- food and cosmetics -- and one for computer resellers. Global Enterprise Management Solutions, Inc. (GEMS) has expanded its relationship with SAP by developing mySAP All-in-One Technical Service Providers, targeted to technical and professional services firms. Bristlecone, Inc. has developed and is offering mySAP All-in-One Semiconductor Industries, focused on the business process requirements for semiconductor and other related high-tech companies in the small and midsize business space. SAP ensures that these solutions respond to the needs of businesses by working in partnership individually with its vertical solutions partners through a stringent solution qualification process and by selecting particular partners based upon their industry expertise and capability to deliver high-quality, low-cost solutions to small and midsize businesses.
"The small and midsize business software and solutions marketplace is growing increasingly competitive today," said Buck Marty, president, Plaut Sigma Solutions. "But working in partnership with SAP to create pre-packaged solutions -- such as mySAP All-in-One for Consumer Packaged Goods -- meeting the unique needs of our customers has given us an additional competitive edge over vendors offering a less robust out-of-the-box solution."
Hawaiian Tropic, a leading provider of sun care products located in Ormond Beach, Fl., and a customer of Plaut Sigma Solutions, recently implemented mySAP All-in-One for Consumer Packaged Goods. The company implemented the solution in 30 percent less time than traditional approaches at 40 percent less cost. The solution enables them to control and track inventory, allowing Hawaiian Tropic executives to make faster decisions and more quickly respond to customer needs.
"Companies our size don't have the luxury of long, complicated implementations that require armies of consultants or internal staff," said Bill Jennings, executive vice president, Hawaiian Tropic. "The prepackaged mySAP All-in-One for Consumer Packaged Goods solution offers all the functionality we need right out of the box to load the system quickly and successfully."
"Efficient, accurate, and timely billing is critical for technical and professional service providers," said Suresh Ketha, president, Global Enterprise Management Solutions. "mySAP All-in-One for Technical Service Providers delivers a cost-effective means for small to midsized services firms to improve the timeliness and accuracy of client invoices, resulting in improved client satisfaction and retention and accelerated revenue recognition. The solution enables service providers to quickly gain better insight into the financial performance of individual service contracts and to increase profitability."
SAP and its channel partners plan to offer more than forty mySAP All-in-One vertical solutions in the United States by the end of 2003. SAP will aggressively support qualified partners to develop vertical solutions for small and midsize businesses. Based on technology from mySAP(TM) Business Suite, mySAP All-in-One solutions offer robust industry functionality and a solid, scalable IT platform to facilitate long-term growth and eliminate the need to replace outgrown systems.
"SAP has an aggressive and active program in place and we intend to increase dramatically the number of mySAP All-in-One solutions available in the United States," said Gary Fromer of SAP. "The growth in available solutions, each with a unique industry focus and the capability to meet industry-specific needs, showcases our ongoing global commitment for SAP to be the business solutions leader in the small and midsize business marketplace."
